James Franco was accused of sexual misconduct Monday morning, following the Golden Globe Awards.
The incident was sparked by a series of tweets from an unverified Twitter account for actress Ally Sheedy. Sheedy worked with Franco in 2014 on a play called The Long Shrift.
The series of tweets has since been deleted, however a screenshot obtained by The Cut, shows what the series of tweets said:
These tweets were assumed by some to be accusation(s) against Franco of wrongdoing. However, the series of tweets never directly accused Franco of anything.
Actual accusation(s) of sexual misconduct were levied against Franco shortly after this series of tweets, though.
One is from a young woman named Violet Paley, who referred to a time where Franco allegedly made unwanted advances towards her.
Paley claimed to have proof to substantiate her accusation, as well as knowing, “girls with similar stories.”
An actress also remarked about her experience working with Franco.
This is not the first time Franco has been accused of sexual misconduct. In 2014, Franco apologized for attempting to pick up a 17-year-old girl over social media.
Franco and Sheedy have yet to comment.
